Born in Fukuoka in 1988, Shota graduated from Waseda University in 2012. While in school, he launched a media platform featuring IT entrepreneurs and later interned at Samurai Incubate in 2011 before joining the firm. In 2016, he founded F Ventures, a VC based in Fukuoka. In 2024, Taimee, which F Ventures had supported from the seed round, went public. Since 2025, he has served as organizer of the Kyushu Startup Runway and continues to host the TORYUMON startup event series biannually in Tokyo and Fukuoka.
