From Fukuoka to the world, connecting deliciousness to the future
The number of agricultural operations in Japan has fallen to less than half over the past 20 years, while the aging of agricultural workers has become increasingly severe. If this trend continues, the future where enjoying “delicious” food is taken for granted could be jeopardized. This session will discuss how to confront the structural challenges surrounding food and how to rebuild the system. We will explore a sustainable future for delicious food, examining initiatives that connect the ecosystem from production to the dining table and restaurants, as well as the challenges undertaken by food startups.
